CENTRE

Sculpture Installation by Audifax

A Madison Arts Commission Blink Project

“The glowing disc behind the body represents our ‘centre,’ this unexplainable place where our true knowledge stems from and the space we need to utilize once again to bring our world to a place of union and progression. The white represents our inner light, with unraveling pieces fading to black showing that once synchronized with this intuition, we are naturally flowing with higher knowledge and organically inner darkness is realized and fades. Here the mind is at peace, represented by the headless figure. The infinite power of our heart intelligence is a gift within all of us waiting to be accessed to create a stronger self and community.“

Taking over 150 hours to create and 16 hours to install, my first hanging sculpture is a success! When you’re in the process, you don’t realize what’s all happening until you see it complete, and standing in front of this sculpture, I’m baffled. In addition to what you see on the outside, there are so many moving parts and configurations. Hundreds of feet of wire, fabric and an invisible harness, much of this project was planning and mapping, making sure it’s safe and engineered to “fly.” Honestly there were days where it was difficult to walk from either being hunched over or standing on a lift, but seeing this complete meant so much I kept going. I’m so excited to show this to everyone. More pics of the unveiling added soon!

Thank you to the City of Madison Arts Commission for the grant for supplies and to Garver Canvas. I’m happy to be partnered with you in such a beautiful space.
