Through my experience working on the street as an artist, I’ve come to connect with many cultures. One thing we all have in common is the power of being moved by art. Witnessing this has lead me to know my path is meant to guide us to uncover our inner strength through this personal, but expansive bond. In order to do this, the next step is to move beyond the borders of my backyard and the streets, to a film project that will reach the world with the ability to inspire a much needed change within us.
Working within the walls of jail, I’ve recently discovered how important it is to shed our differences, and allow ourselves to feel like we’re part of a community. That support is immeasurable, and comes from a strength we must first find in our own vulnerability. Art has brought this connection throughout the ages, and it’s time for me to shed light on the power it holds. I look forward to showing you exactly what we’re capable of when we break down the walls we’ve built.
